If you’ve never been to the Clay Terrace shopping mall in Carmel, you should take a trip and stop by this summer!
Though it’s a great shopping area all year round, it’s especially worth your while if you come in the summer months so you can walk around and enjoy the warm weather. What people may not realize is that tucked behind Kona Grill and Mitchell’s Fish Market is an area called the “Grassy Knoll.” This spot just happens to be the perfect ground for concerts, social gatherings and, most importantly, fun. Who knew that Clay Terrace, one of Simon Mall’s properties, hosted a summer concert series?
Last evening BACA decided to officially join the world of rock n’ roll. As the main sponsor for the last concert of the Clay Terrace Summer Concert Series, we were not only able to listen to the talented Dane Clark Band, but we also met several new families that live around the greater Indianapolis area. The Dane Clark Band’s lead singer, Dane Clark, was the drummer for John Mellencamp for 16 years, so it was a great opportunity to listen to him – for FREE!
I want to personally thank the BACA staff and families who showed up last night. It’s nice to see people not only support BACA but also willing to get out of their routine to try something new. A couple of our kiddos came with their parents and seemed to really enjoy the music!
I see so many of the kids in our BACA centers each and every day, but there’s something special about seeing them enjoy family time outside of our regular “BACA hours.” I’m grateful for Simon Property Group for allowing us to be part of last night’s event. It’s something I’d love for us to take part in again next year!
