Senior Clinical Director
Stacy Apraez is a senior clinical director for BACA, overseeing the state of Indiana. She holds a bachelor of science in psychology from the State University of New York College at Brockport and a master’s degree in applied behavior analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology. Stacy started her career in 1994 at the May Institute working in group homes. She joined Behavior Analysts, Inc. – STARS School in California in 1996. During her tenure, she worked as a consultant in home-based, public, and private school applied behavior analysis (ABA)/verbal behavior (VB) programs under the direction of Mark Sundberg, Ph.D., BCBA-D, MaryAnn Powers Ph.D., BCBA-D, and James Partington Ph.D., BCBA-D. . Stacy later became the Training Division Manager, where she and her team presented a series of workshops throughout the US and Canada, geared for a range of audiences from parents to seasoned professionals. After relocating to Indianapolis in 2005, Stacy continued with Behavior Analysis, Inc. – STARS School as an instructor delivering web-based courses in ABA and VB. In 2006, Stacy began working at the Verbal Behavior Center for Autism to gain additional professional experience under the guidance of Carl Sundberg, Ph.D., BCBA-D. When Dr. Carl Sundberg and Devon Sundberg MA, BCBA founded the Behavior Analysis Center for Autism (BACA), Stacy joined as one of their original consultants. She became the first clinical director at BACA, eventually taking on the role of Director of Operations, which included oversight of all four BACA Locations. Stacy has presented at multiple conferences throughout her career, including Cal-ABA and WIBA. She joined the LEARN Behavioral team in 2021 as a Senior Clinical Director for BACA.
