Social Skills Program
Helping Your Child Build Confidence and Connections
How BACA’s Social Skills Program Helps
We use proven, research-based methods to help children understand and navigate social interactions. Our highly trained board certified behavior analysts (BCBAs) and behavior technicians (BTs) break down social skills into small, teachable steps that are easy to understand.
Each program is personalized to your child’s unique needs, with goals that grow as they build confidence.
What Are Social Skills?
Social skills help us communicate and connect with others. These skills include:
- Spoken words
- Body language
- Eye contact
- Gestures

Some key social skills include:
- Interactive and pretend play

For some children with autism, picking up on social cues can be challenging. At BACA, we use compassionate, evidence-based applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to help children build the confidence and skills they need to thrive in social settings.

Navigating Friendships and Social Situations
Building friendships is an important part of a child’s development. Our Social Skills Program is designed to boost self-confidence while teaching children how to interact with others.
Through small-group activities, children also learn to follow group instructions, cooperate with peers, and handle different social situations.
At BACA, we start by assessing your child’s needs, setting realistic goals, and guiding them toward success with compassionate, expert support. Over time, children learn the skills they need to feel comfortable and confident in social settings.
What Our Social Skills Program Includes:
- Role-playing and discussion-based learning
- Positive reinforcement and encouragement
- Art projects and interactive indoor/outdoor activities
- Group-based social learning and real-world practice
The social skills learned in ABA therapy help children develop the confidence and independence they need for school, friendships, and life.
